Hi John & All:
I made an interesting discovery in
light of the recent anniversary of the recapture of Jerusalem, during the Six
Day War in June 1967. It has to do with the timing of the rebirth of the nation
of Israel, which we know took place in May 1948. For within
the prophecy of God casting Israel out of the land, is also hidden the year in
which He would remember His promise, and bring them back to the
land.
"For I will make the land most desolate
...." -- [ Ezekiel 33: 28 ]
וְנָתַתִּי אֶת-הָאָרֶץ
שְׁמָמָה
385 + 296 + 401 + 866 =
1948
In 1960 an epic film was released,
titled: "Exodus". A fellow by the name of Ernest Gold went on to win an Oscar
for the film's musical score. Then in 1961, Pat Boone wrote the lyrics and
performed it (as did Andy Williams). I have included the lyrics below, and you
can hear the music by clicking on the link that is immediately below. The page
will open playing the music.
This Land Is
Mine
This land, is mine; God gave this land
to me
This brave, and ancient land to
me
And when the morning sun, reveals her
hills and plain
Then I see a land where children can
run free
So take my hand, and walk this land
with me
And walk, this lovely land with
me
Though I am just a man, when you are by
my side
With the help of God, I know I can be
strong
So take my hand, and walk this land
with me
And walk, this golden land with
me
Though I am just a man, when you are by
my side
With the help of God, I know I can be
strong ....
.... To make this land our
home
If I must fight, I'll fight to make
this land our own
Until I die, this land is
mine.
See ya in the air,
Eric
