With John's recent insight on the
number 43, I thought to do a second part on its relationship between God,
Israel, and the land (more to the point -- Jerusalem).
"Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD;
Surely in the fire of my jealousy

my land into
their possession with the joy of all

despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey."

The phrase "MY LAND" (אַרְצִי), in direct reference to God's ownership of the land (and
even more to the point - Jerusalem), is also found in Ezekiel 38: 16; Jeremiah
2: 7; Jeremiah 16: 18; Isaiah 14: 25; as well as Joel 1: 6; Joel 2: 18; and Joel
4: 2.
Here is another verse that relates to
God's ownership of the land and how the number 43
is related to it:
"And when they entered into the
nations, whither they went,
...they profaned my holy
name, when they said to them, These
...are the people of the
LORD, and are gone forth out of his
land."

There is also a phrase within the
well-known "Gog and Magog" war of Ezekiel 39, which deals with the number 43, in direct
reference to the land (speaking of the invading troops):
"After many years you shall be visited:
in the latter years you
shall
...come into the land that is brought
back from the sword, and is
...gathered out of many
people, against the mountains of Israel,
...which have been always
waste: but it is brought forth out of the
...nations, and they shall
dwell safely all of them."

Note:
The interesting part about this verse,
and the highlighted section concerning coming into the land, is that we know
from the other verses, that God Himself is dragging them down into the land for
His glory. The gematria seems to attest to this as well, since there are 17 of the 43s -- and
17 is one
of the two primary gematria values for Jehovah, the Lord God,
as John Tng has pointed out in his articles.
As I previously mentioned in another
posting, on both occassions in which the Jews had possession of Jerusalem, they
held it for a period of years that was a factor of the number 43, before they were
forced to relinquish control of it.
"And the nations shall know that the house of Israel went into
captivity
...for their iniquity: because they
trespassssed against me, therefore hid I
...my face from them, and
gave them into the hand of their enemies: so
...fell they all by the
sword."

Here is another example of how God has
not only used the number 43 to mark out His Land, but how the same number has been used (as I
pointed out in part one, a few weeks ago), in specific relation to Israel and
the city of Jerusalem:
"Thou also, son of man, take thee a
tile, and lay it before thee, and portray upon it the
...city, even Jerusalem:
...And lay siege against it, and build a fort
against it, and cast a mount against it; set the
...camp also against it,
and set battering rams against it round about.
...Moreover take thou unto
thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee
...and the city: and set
thy face against, and it shall be beseiged, and thou shalt lay
siege
...against it. This shall
be a sign to the house of Israel.
...Lie thou also upon thy
left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon
it:
...according to the number
of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear
their
...iniquity.
....For I have laid upon
thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of
the
...days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the

Israel.

accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou

We see that Ezekiel has had laid upon
him the number of days representing the iniquity of Israel, which as the Word of
God states, totals 430 (broken down into 390 for the house of Israel, as well as 40
for the house of Judah).
Additionally, the number 43 in relation to
Israel, also comes up in the Word of God, during the time of their exodus from
the land of Egypt:
"Now the sojourning of the children of
Israel, who dwelt in Egypt was
...four hundred and thirty years.
...And it came to pass at
the end of the four hundred and thirty
years,
...even the selfsame day
it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD
...went out from the land
of Egypt."

Of course, some of which was mentioned
previously, there were some other interesting uses by the Lord of the number
43,
including:
1.) Abraham was 86 years old
(43 +
43), when he fathered Ishmael.
2.) Isaac (to whom the promise of the
land concerned) lived 43 years longer than Ishmael.
3.) There are 43 days between Jesus
death at Passover, and His ascension.
4.) "Elohim" is the trinity fullness
name of God, with a gematria of 86 (43 + 43).
5.) The two basic OT gematria
values of the name Jehovah, total 43
(26 + 17).
6.) There are 43 months until the
end of the 70th week, from the antichrist's abomination.
7.) There were 215 years (5 x 43) from God's
promise to Abraham, to Israel entering Egypt.
8.) Both times Israel controlled
Jerusalem for a period of years a factor of 43
(860 & 473).
9.) Jesus called Himself the "Alpha and
Omega" -- The standard Greek alphabet has a gematria
........value of 3999 (also the year of
His birth). [ 3999 = 93 x 43
].
10.) One of the Greek spellings of
"Jesus" has a gematria of 688 (16 x 43).
There are many prophetic scripture
verses throughout the Old Testament, relating to God, Israel, and the
land, that have a gematria value of which 43 is a factor. Here is a sampling. There
are many more. In the interest of both time and space, I will simply list the
verse and the gematria breakdown.
