Jerusalem is Israel´s Largest City
 
Jerusalem's population has reached 706,000, making it Israel's largest city, according to government statistics released today. It also is the country's largest city in terms of area.

More than 10 percent of the total national population live in the capital, and two-thirds of the city's residents are Jewish. The rest are Moslems, except for 2 percent who are Christian and 1 perent who moved to Israel under the "right of return" but are not registered as Jewish.
