"A bill before the California Assembly that would have allowed terminally ill patients to end their lives with the help of a doctor was abandoned on Thursday. "At the end of the day, proponents couldn't find 20 votes to publicly support this bill," noted Laura Remson Mitchell of the California Disability Alliance.
