"Mom has strong faith that she will be healed, as she was of cancer."

Faith to me is not "blind" but based on information/facts.

Could your 81 years-young mom share, through you, upon what information/facts she bases her expectation for healing?  Since she has personally experienced healing from cancer - fact! - her informantion from YHVH regarding healing has substance and foundation!
