INTERSTINGLY...The Days of Atonement follow Rosh Hashana .... which are 7 days in duration (7 year tribulation period, we are told that the feasts are a "rehersal/symbols" of things to come).  That is ANOTHER reason many believe that the rapture occurs at Rosh Hashana and why they (the Jews) are then "afllicted in their souls" realizing their error regarding Jesus.
 
At the end of the Days of Atonement comes Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles on the 8th day.  So the big picture:  Feast of Trumpets=Rapture, Days of Atonement is a symbol of the 7 year trib., followed by Christ's physical return and the millenial reign and this will take us to the 8th day...Sukkot!
