"Neighbor's Dogs"
Wow, your posts about this problem could not
be more timely.
I agree this seems trivial maybe to anyone who has not
faced it. Our upstairs neighbor just got a Pit Bull puppy yesterday. There
is no dog on earth that I distrust more than those. We have three small
dogs. A Chihuahua, a Yorkie-pom, and a Mini-Dachshund. The neighbor's puppy
shrieked and cried and howled on and off all night long very loudly. I
don't know why he would bring a puppy home and then leave it alone in a
room like that. He plans to keep it in a small chain link fenced area by
our house which he just put together for this purpose, while he's away
at work after it gets a little older. I know that this makes dogs even
meaner than otherwise and I'm very concerned for our dog's (and ours) safety.
I feel very certain that this is a kind of test. God
knows how much I, who am a dog lover, dislike Pit Bulls. As a child I was
bitten by a friends dog on a sleepover at his house. It was an Afghan Hound
that had been kept in a dog run in the yard all its life just like this
one will be. My friend brought it in to the house over my protests because
of the way it would growl and bark at anyone who even approached the fence
it was behind. But like all owners he assured me it would never bite me.
It did and I have been wary of such situations ever since.
I know that God is greater than any situation like this
and I am so grateful that we have each other to bear one another's burdens
such as this with.
Thank You Doves,
