I just read the post about the turtle doves and I got so excited. I have to tell you what happened to me last Spring. (Last year was a really busy time for me spiritually)  I was driving home one late afternoon and I was meditating on that beautiful scripture in the Song of Songs that was read at the wedding of my son to his new wife. The one about the winter was over, Spring had come and the voice of the turtle doves was heard again in the land. (paraphrasing it) I had such peace on me and I was just loving on the Lord and thanking Him for letting that time come. Well, I pulled up into my drive and sat there in amazement! There were two turtle doves sitting on my patio just like they were waiting for me! The car did not scare them, they were calm and peaceful. I sat in the car afraid I'd scare them off and just watched them. They were moving in perfect unison. They turned and looked right out me in my eyes. It was like they had been waiting for me to arrive home. I got out of the car very carefully and approached them. The never moved but watched me very closely. The were so sweet and so gentle and almost "supernatural" in action. I approached them closely and they still stood still. I have never seen birds like this in my yard before. I was stunned. Where are you from? I asked. Did God send you here to me? half joking but very serious too. We stood and watched each other a long time and then suddenly, the two doves turned in perfect unison and rose and flew  away as though one bird. They looked back at me as if to say Goodbye and left.I will never forget that experience.I was so wonderful!   I felt I had been given a great gift.   Two days later when I came home again and there was a snake where the birds had sat!!!
