God's power in a Spirit-filled person

Dear friends:

The potential of the presence and power in the life of a Spirit-filled person is awesome and fascinating. One great saint (I can't remember his name), would find that sometimes in public, just from his presence, complete strangers would come under the conviction of the Holy Spirit and begin weeping, wanting to be saved. Sometimes they would "fall" under the power of the Spirit just by being near him, with him saying nothing.

I have seen it to some extent in my own life, as God's presence and peace prevail in situations with strangers.

The below message was sent to me this morning. I believe it will be a blessing to you and encourage you.

"Lord, as we walk in the Spirit, let your invisible and mysterious presence, peace, and power be manifest in our lives, touching those around us. Amen."

Let us walk in faith that God is answering that prayer. Watch the results!

Have you ever been arrested by the power of God? This is a radical example of market place ministry.

Yesterday in church, this guy was called up to give testimony and talked for a long time. It was really exciting. He talked about since he was a kid that he was in church and in different places prophetic people always called him out and said he was a prophet. And one guy would always say he saw him wearing a uniform. He said he was raised in the ghetto in Brooklyn, NY. He talked about things up until now.

Then he was talking about moving here and his current job as a police officer in a county here. He started giving all kinds of testimonies about how when he was out in his patrol car and doing his duty that the power of God would come over him with words of knowledge and prophecy. Sometimes the power of God would come over him and he would tell the person, "This is your day. The time is NOW." He said how God would have him prophecy over people he was arresting and the person would be in the squad car, handcuffed, shaking under the power of the Holy Spirit. He told SOOO many stories of what God was doing while he was on duty. All of this has happened in a short space of time.

He was talking about the power of presence and that God is with him wherever he is. He was saying how all his arrests are so easy. The Lord will tell him if there are any weapons in the car or drugs and he will ask the person if they have them and they say they do and give them to him. He was talking about this one guy that the Lord told him was driving a stolen car. He stopped him and the guy was a hardened criminal. If he went to jail again it would be a long time...so there was nothing for him to lose if he did something to the officer. He said the guy had a large knife next to him on the seat and he asked him for it and the guy gave it to him. He prophesied over him and took him to jail.

Then he was talking about how him and his partner had duty at this bar. He said they're not allowed to go in but have to manage the parking lot. Usually there are people drinking in the parking lot and lots of fights when the other officers are on duty. He said he and his partner were there and his partner asks...did he notice that nobody was drinking in the parking lot. He said for three hours he and his partner had one on one conversation, nobody ever drank in the parking lot, and no fights ever happened. He was saying it was because the presence of God was there...because he was there and God is with him.

He said so many people started getting saved. He was inviting them to his small church. At one point there were 75 of them coming to the church. The pastor ended up kicking him out of the church because he said he intimidated him. They also didn't want those people in the church. That is when he began coming to our church and was very broken about all this. They had so many people but didn't want to start a church. On the other hand, these people needed somebody. He talked about how the conference last week helped him realize that he didn't need approval from a pastor or have a name for a group or make a church because his legitimacy was in God and he was just to do what God said. Our conference had Patricia King and Graham Cooke who talked and gave examples of prophesying over people on the street and just blessing people and radical changes that were coming about.

So, he said last week he started calling all these youth that he had touched. Some weren't saved yet, but still wanted him. He said he had about 20 come to his house and how God was moving. He said they were the type who would not come into a church building. They met and the power of God was there. One kid went and hid in the kitchen because he was so scared. He went in to get him and the kid asked him if he was psychic.

I just wanted to send this out to encourage all, especially out in the market place. Practice the PRESENCE of God and you will change lives.
