Don't let those Christians scare you!Everything is going to be just fine!
Everything's going to be just fine?
by Michael G. Mickey www.rapturealert.com(6-15-04)
How is the world holding up in these end times we're living in? Not well,
according to two news stories I found. The first, an Associated Press story, quotes the United Nations as saying
the globe is drying up at a fast pace. What is causing the drying effect?
According to the story, slash-and-burn agriculture, sloppy conservation,
overtaxed water supplies, soaring populations and global warming.Excerpt from the story (which features a long list of disturbing
information):a.. The world is turning to dust, with lands the size of Rhode Island
becoming desert wasteland every year and the problem threatening to send
millions of people fleeing to greener countries, the United Nations says.
One-third of the Earth's surface is at risk, driving people into cities
and destroying agriculture in vast swaths of Africa. Thirty-one percent of
Spain is threatened, while China has lost 36,000 square miles to desert - an
area the size of Indiana - since the 1950s.Not only is one-third of the Earth's surface at risk of drying up, the
number of people vulnerable to floods is expected to double to 2 billion
worldwide by 2050 due to global warming, deforestation, rising sea levels
and population growth in flood-prone areas, according to a Reuters story. The Reuters story, again quoting United Nations sources, says a billion
people are now living in the potential path of a "worst-case flood." What
could cause flooding that severe? According to the story, melting glaciers
and ice caps.Satan would have us to believe the end times foretold in Bible prophecy are
a distant event on the horizon of the future at best. Why? Because Satan
wants all those he's currently deceiving to continue living in rebellion
against God until it's eternally too late for them.Eat, drink and be merry! We've got plenty of time to repent, right?
2nd Peter 3:3-4: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days
scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of
his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they
were from the beginning of the creation. The Scripture above is descriptive of many in our world today who, in spite
of seeing stories in the news like the ones included in this commentary,
refuse to believe the end times are upon us. How can they be so blind? A
satanic veil of deception is preventing them from seeing the truth that is
all around them! The scientific community, which most nonbelievers trust above the Word of
God, is saying the world we're living in is in big trouble with many
suggesting there is little chance mankind will survive beyond the next 50
years or so.The Bible, on the other hand, paints a picture of the world in the end times
which sounds quite similar to the world we're currently living in, but
documents a far different ending. The Bible tells us a seven-year period (Daniel 9:27) of tribulation the
likes of which mankind has never seen nor will ever see again is coming in
the prophetic future (Matthew 24:21). This period of time will see one-half
of the world's population die, but, at the end of the seven-year period, a
hero of incredible glory will return to the earth (Revelation 19:11-16) to
prevent the destruction of all flesh (Matthew 24:22). The hero? Jesus
Christ!Even more wonderful to consider than the fact the world will be saved from
the brink of destruction by Jesus Christ is the FACT (note I say FACT) the
Lord will come to gather those who have placed their trust in Him to His
side prior to the onset of this terrible seven-year period of time in an
event we call the Rapture of the Church (1st Thessalonians 4:16-18).The Rapture will come without any warning whatsoever, requiring those who
hope to avoid the seven-year Tribulation Period to have a personal
relationship with Jesus Christ before He comes for His Church. In the aftermath of the Rapture, many who will have heard of this event but
didn't take it seriously will suddenly find an interest in knowing Jesus
Christ, but it will be too late. They will have been left behind.Matthew 25:10-13: And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they
that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But
he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch
therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man
cometh.Although those left behind will be able to accept Christ during the
Tribulation Period, the evil of those times will be so rampant many of them
will be martyred for their newfound faith. If you're reading this and you're not a Christian, you need to accept Jesus
Christ TODAY. The world we're living in is in deep trouble, not just
according to Christians like me who believe we're living in the end times
leading up to the Rapture of the Church, but according to scientists, many
of whom don't even believe in the prophetic teachings of the Bible! If the Bible isn't the Word of God, mankind isn't going to be around much
longer, but if the Bible is the Word of God (and it definitely is), there is
a path all of us can travel that leads to an eternity filled with peace,
love, prosperity and happiness. How do we travel down this path? Only
through faith in Jesus Christ! Those who refuse to travel down the path to salvation, which only comes
through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, will eventually be
sentenced to suffer in an eternal, burning lake of fire we call hell with
Satan and his angels from which there is no hope of escape or rescue. I
don't say this to scare anyone, but to truthfully document the future of
those who reject God as demonstrated in God's Word.Do you want to be able to truthfully say everything's going to be just fine
in your future? If so, you need to accept Jesus Christ today, if you haven't
already done so. Click HERE to learn more.
