 I don't know when I realized this..probably talking to someone of GLP (A christian) that Rev 6 12-14 happens BEFORE the comets scenerio.
THE SIGN in the sky that Jesus gave in Matt, Mark, Luke and Rev...
 
  It goes like this:
 
First..the sign:
Sun turns black
moon turns red
Heavens roll up as a scroll
Stars fall
earthquake
mountains and islands move
 
THEN
 
The angels are commanded to hold winds back (so the toxic stuff doesn't blow all over Earth until the 144,000 are sealed.???)
 
144,000 sealed
 
Rapture is shown in Rev 9
Silence in Heaven for 1/2 hour

So the only thing I think might happen is when Venus transits the Sun, there might be an electric jolt from the sun that somehow makes the earth reel to and fro..hence the SIGN that Jesus gave of His coming.

In synopsis. The Sun switches off at regular intervals. This may be a rejuvenation process. It literally darkens to a warm red glow which is reflected by the Moon as brown. The other planets wander off their courses when this happens, and especially so Mars and Venus.

Venus when it aligns during an Inferior Conjuction, and especially a transit, with Earth and Full or New Moon provides a latent circuit for an electrical discharge of the Sun. The ancients called these electrical discharges, thunderbolts. Venus, it seems, will burst into a comet again. The transit ocurrs this June 8th. But the 3rd of June is a Full Moon. The 18th of June is a New Moon and Mercury is in Superior conjunction. I do not know if this will happen in 2004 or 2012.

When the Sun switches off it does so with a jolt that is felt upon Earth as a gigantic earthquake. Meteors slam Earth. And Earth rolls over while it is rotating. The Sun switches back on with another jolt.

This event commences a series of more cosmic bombardment of Earth which you alluded to in Wormwood etc. This period of cosmic chaos culminates about four years later with another catastophe; The Destroyer comet returns to Earth´s proximity. This is the killer event which is non-suvivable for most of humanity.
