David said:  "The 153 fishes in John 21:11 and the 120 disciples in Acts
1:15 sums to 273".  This number represents "the church of Jesus Christ" and
"a type of the church of the firstborn of Israel over and above them that
were redeemed by the Levites" (Numbers 3:46-49).  Also, "the number 273
represents the number of lost souls, which were saved in the ship wreck with
Paul" (Acts 27:37).

NOte the reference Acts 27:37.  The Greek gematria for "truth" is 27 + 37 =
64

Listed below are some other uses of this number 273:

1) The permutations of 273 = 2664 = 888 (Jesus) x 3 (Resurrection, Divine
completion and perfection)

2) 2664 = 666 (antichrist) x 4 (creation), the world, flesh).

3) 2664 = 40 (Trials, Testings, Tribulation, Probation) x 66.6 (anitchrist)

I think the summary of items 1, 2 and 3 is:  When Jesus raptures/resurrects
the saints, at the same time the devil will be loosed in the world.  The
antichrist will immediately take over in the world and all types of trials,
testings and tribulation will be experienced by the lost souls that were
left behind.

Also, the Bible Wheel website mentions more uses of this number 273 with
Hebrew and Greek gematria:

1) "The Key" (Greek)

2) "gematria" (Hebrew)

3) "Immortality" (Greek)

4) "From the Tree of Life" (Hebrew)

5) "The righteous will enter"  (Hebrew)

6) "The Stone which the builders rejected (Hebrew)

7) "THe Lord is light for me" (Hebrew)

8) The son of my womb" (Hebrew)

Also, Dr Peter Plichta says:

1) The period of growth in the human womb between conception and birth has a
statistical duration of ten sidereal months, or 273 days.

2) The acceleration of the Moon in its path around the Earth is measured as
0.273/cm/sec^2.
 

To sum it all up:  I agree with David Robinson that the number 273 has a lot
of significance for the church of Jesus Christ.  And I think it also is an
important number relating to our ultimate rapture from this earth.  Let's
hear some more research on this from the other "number crunchers"!!
