"Opening the Seals"

In response to the post on June 1 "The Seals Have Not Yet Been Opened"
(which was a response to my post regarding the seals having already been
opened) I would like to note the item he mentioned as "proof" that the seals
have not been opened. Daniel 7:7-8 was used and it was suggested that this
is future. This scripture reads:

"After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful
and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth; it
devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it;
and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten
horns. I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another
little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by
the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a
mouth speaking great things."

The "fourth beast" is the same as the fourth empire denoted in the great
metal image of Daniel 2. This fourth beast was represented by the legs of
iron. It is Rome. Just prior to the establishing of the Holy Roman Empire,
three of the previous smaller empires were broken -- the Western, the
Heruli, and the Ostrogoths. In the place of these three horns, a little horn
raised itself to prominence. This little horn was the Papacy "speaking great
things" -- claiming to be the vicor of Christ.
The problem with failing to see the historical evidence for the past
fulfillment of these prophecies, is that it causes us to yet look for them
in the future. And thus it hinders us from seeing where we are on God's
timeline.
