11 July (11*7=77), Cricket and the Sign of Agar
Psalm 83: 1,2 Keep not silence, O God; hold not Your peace or be still, O God. 2 For, behold, Your enemies are in tumult, and those who hate You have raised their heads.
Now I know that most Doves are not into cricket, but something quite extraordinary happened on 11 July 2013 in the Ashes series (Australia versus England). A 19 year old debutant named Ashton Agar went from obscurity to the front page of the British press. Put simply, he and another batsman rescued Australia from a perilous state! When he came to the crease as the eleventh and last batsman (he was included in the team as a bowler) Australia were 98 runs (7*7 +7*7) behind England. When he was dismissed Australia were 65 runs ahead (280 runs or 70*4).
Agarís score was the highest in international Test history, and the last wicket partnership of 165 was also the highest in Test history. This happened on 11 July 2013 and his score of 98 is 7*7 + 7*7.
The surname of this young man is Agar, a very rare name for an Australian. How amazing that this name is found in the KJV Bible in Galatians 4 (see excerpt from Galatians 4 below). In fact, Galatians the two verses in Galatians 4 (24, 25) are the only verses in the whole KJV Bible that use this name! Most translations use the full name Hagar.
This may all seem coincidental, but it comes at a heightened time of turmoil in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Egypt (and other Middle East countries). Galatians 4 highlights the struggle between the son of the freewoman (Sarah/Isaac) and the son of the bondwoman (Hagar/Ishmael). Psalm 83 verse 2 (Your enemies are in tumult!) is being fulfilled. I do not consider that the rest of Psalm 83 is imminent as it indicates that Israelís neighbours unite against Israel (rather than fighting internally). However, Israel may suffer collateral damage in this ongoing turmoil, especially with 9th of Av closing in (Monday/Tuesday 15/16 July 2013). We need to be on high alert!!
I have been seeing quite a few 11s and 7s Ė some of the more noteworthy are as follows. At Wimbledon Andrew Murray (a Scot) ) was the first British player to win for 77 years. In Australia, 77 religious leaders (including a few Rabbis) came out in support of same sex marriage - even in their perverseness Godís number seal can be seen!! The train crash in Quebec has some resemblance to the 2010 movie Unstoppable - the number of the train in the movie is 777. The Ethiopian plane that caught fire at Heathrow had Queen of Sheba written on the side!!
I would like to finish with a brief comment on the three total solar eclipses, all on Av 1, that occurred in 2008 (1 August), 2009 (22 July) and 2010 (11 July). Bruce Barber has highlighted 21/22 July as important (Tu BíAv). Luis Vega has highlighted 22 July 2013 to 22 September 2017 as a Star of David Cosmic Countdown! Given the dates for the solar eclipses in 2008, 2009 and 2010 we are in a high alert/watch period.
Galatians 4 (KJV): Agar (Hagar)
22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. 25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. 27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.
28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. 29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. 31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
