"To Bruce Baber
concerning the body (feet) of Christ"
Hi, recently on the past July 4 holiday I went
swimming with my family in a nearby river. There were a
few rope swings which were tied to trees on the bank. One
of them was very tall, I'd say 20-30 ft drop. A few other
folks were swinging from the tallest swing and since they
emerged from the water ok, I thought I'd give it a try. It
was fun, on my third try, however, I let go of the rope over a
'shallow spot' that, best as I can describe, appeared out of
nowhere. I remember a feeling (I say 'feeling' because I'm
not sure the thought was necessarily verbalized in my head) that
the water beneath me parted a bit before I hit. I mean,
the whole thing was so strange. Anyway, I received a major
sprain to my ankle. No bones were broken, even though when
I described what happened to the doctor he told me it was the
equivalent of me jumping off of a three-story building. My
heel and ankle were damaged very badly, My whole foot, except
for the very top, was literally black and blue but mostly
black. I am still recovering, with the aid of a walking
boot now. Your article made me wonder. I thought of
Genesis 3:15, "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman,
and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and
thou shalt bruise his heel." Thanks, God bless all of the
doves, in Jesus' Name, Sarah
