"Re: Prayer Requests
from Shelva, Dave, Joe and Lynn"
"I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God,
my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of
my salvation, and my high tower, I will call upon the Lord, who
is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies."
Psalms 18:1-3 "Open thou mine eyes that I may behold wondrous
things out of thy law." Psalms 119:18
------------
To Shelva Sirry:
It is good to thank God for the hearing that you do have and
have enjoyed for many years, I presume. He hears your prayers,
you need not rely so much on others for you are very special and
dear to Him. Do not be afraid any more, remember Psalm 23 "Yea,
though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will
fear no evil for Thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they
comfort me." "Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which
thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to usward: they
cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and
speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. Sacrifice and
offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened..."
Psalms 40:5-6.
Dearest Lord, let Shelva know and feel Your loving presence in
her life and be filled with the confidence and strength that can
come only from Your divine presence and infinite love. Lord, I
join with her now in humbly asking for Your help and support in
trying times. We thank you so much for always being near and
ready to help. All praises to Thy holy name. Amen.
To Dave Gazaway:
Your experiences of demonic attacks are unsettling to hear about
and I can only imagine your desperation in actually living
through what you describe. But, as I mentioned to Shelva above,
you need not be filled with fear or perplexity, you have the
choice to make. Please, cast all of your problems, and they are
many, on our dear Lord, Jesus, who is presently at your elbow
ready to help. Turn away from the possible worldly solutions
that you think would solve your problems, and instead let Him
bring His immense power to rescue and save into your life.
Remember His Word: 1 Corinthians 6:19 "What? know ye not that
your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you,
which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" Psalms 17:7
"Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy
right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that
rise up against them." "The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom
shall I be afraid?" Psalms 27:1
Dear Lord, let Dave banish fear from his life and release Your
power as he receives the gift of courage and peace from the
ultimate Volunteer who is able and ready to help. Lord, I join
with him now in asking for Your protection, guidance and
never-ending protection from the forces that seem to be
unleashed against him. Let him overcome the demons that
attack him through the power of Your loving assistance. We thank
You now for Your never-failing help in difficult times when our
very souls are being tried. All praises be to Thy holy name, now
and forevermore. Amen.
To Joe M.:
I join you in prayer for your daughter LaToya and your mom. Yes,
beliefs in new age teachings are harmful in many ways: they
reinforce a trust in the powers of sinful humans instead of
Jesus, they increase the separation between man and Jesus, and
they fill the time and consciousness with false hopes, based on
something other than the only way, "the truth and the life" John
14:6. Now is the time for you to draw closer to Jesus who is
standing behind you now and will hear and respond to the
deep-felt prayer of your heart.
Dear Lord, let Joe realize now more than ever before in his life
Your immediate presence and love. Let him feel Your presence and
support. Joe, we need to always remember that our dear Lord has
clearly demonstrated His love. Lord, we thank you for Your love,
Your help and Your comforting support throughout our lives.
Amen.
To Lynn:
I join with you to pray for you and your brother in prison and
for the wife and children whose lives are affected by all of the
actions taking place. We pray that the Lord will provide you
with His strength and courage. Remember, all things are possible
to Him. Trust Him with all of your mind and heart. Turn your
head aside and know that He is there next to you now, ready to
hear your prayer, ready to help. Give Him the opportunity to
respond to your needs, He prefers to respond rather than always
taking the initiative Himself, though He often must do so when
we miss our opportunity to call on Him. "Forsake me not, O Lord:
O my God, be not far from me. Make haste to help me, O Lord my
salvation." Psalms 38:21-22.
Dearest Lord, let Lynn and those she loves know that You are
there with them, You do care so very much, and that You are
already taking actions that will eventually bring them all to a
much better place. We thank You for Your unending love and
support and solutions to our problems while we wait for Your
return. All praises are to Your holy name now and forevermore.
Amen.

"Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and
respecteth not the proud nor such as turn aside to lies."Psalms
40:4 "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my
redeemer." Psalms 19:14 "Blessed is he whose transgression is
forgiven, whose sin is covered...Thou art my hiding place; thou
shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with
songs of deliverance." Psalms 32: 1,7.
