"Preparing for the Judgment Seat of Christ"

Dear Doves,

The book The Judgment Seat of Christ ,link provided above, is one of the best books I’ve seen for any believer who has recently, or not so recently, accepted the spirit salvation made possible through the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus at Calvary. That salvation is indeed irrevocable and permanent, there is no way that once it is accepted it may be lost or taken away.

But, it is not the final goal for believers. The final goal according to Scripture is entrance into the Kingdom of God where authority and responsibility will be awarded to those who have demonstrated their faithfulness in the present dispensation.

The specific question this book considers is how can we overcome and be overcomers in the present dispensation, so that we will be judged worthy to receive the privilege of ruling and reigning with Christ in the Millennium and in the eternity thereafter.

Of course, the epistle to the Ephesians provides the most relevant information we need to know concerning our enemy and how to be prepared for the spiritual battles that we must engage in while we await the next dispensation, ushered in by the rapture of the Bride of Christ (Eph. 6:12-18).

I wish I had known about this book when I first believed and accepted Jesus’ salvation. It could have made my growth into spiritual maturity more clearly defined, and provided answers to many questions that I struggled to find answers for in Scriptures, not understanding how to properly divide the word of truth (II Tim. 2:15).

The author of the book cited above, Arlen L. Chitwood, provides many details concerning the warfare we are facing here and now using types and antitypes in the O.T. and N.T. He shows how the Israelites and apostles faced similar battles in the earthly realm and how they responded, both correctly through faith in God, and incorrectly by trusting in the limited power of the flesh.

The author also shows why the rapture will be for ALL Christian believers taking place at the same time. He does not subscribe to the phased raptures or mid-Tribulation rapture ideas put forward by others.

He believes all believers will be present for the Judgment Seat of Christ (Bema) judging where they will either receive crowns for their faithful service in the here and now, or be cast into the outer darkness if they have been unfaithful. Both groups are believers and saved spiritually, but only the ones receiving crowns will enter the Kingdon to rule and reign.

I strongly recommend everyone read and heed the advice in this book, before it is too late. As believers, we all should find ways to show our faithfulness and to become instruments in the hands of the Holy Spirit so that as many as possible will escape the outer darkness and walk in the light of the Kingdom.

Please read this book and let the Holy Spirit take hold of your spirit. The rewards that are promised for your faithfulness are very great indeed.

YBIC,

Robert
