Hi John and Dove,

 

I am wondering and questioning why Feast days would only be fulfilled once, I cannot see this in the Bible as being so.

 

With the Spring Feast days, I see a story, a story that continues with Jesus, the Holy Sprit and Pentacost.  I see the story including Ruth and Boaz, it seems to be a different story than the Fall Feasts.

 

I know if you are all like me, you are reading this and saying "Well"????  tell us the story.

 

Just a brief view that someone may want to expand on.

 

Spring Feasts

 

Old Testatment................................................New Testament

 

Exodus from Egypt...........................................Salvation

 

Crossing the Red Sea.......................................Baptism

 

Moses, Mt Sinai, Commandments........................Branches of the Vine, Holy Spirit, Pentacost (Beginning of Church Age)

 

I see the above story being one of Salvation and Grace.  To me it would be the most obvious time for the Rapture

 

Matt 24:31 KJV And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other

 

Matt 24:32 KJV Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

 

Summer???????? - My studies have led me to believe that Pentacost is Tammuz 29  Summer - see Leviticus 23

 

¹⁵And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: 

 

¹⁶Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.

 ¹⁷Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.

To me verse 17 looks like the two loaves could be referring to two groups - the living and the dead in Christ raised????

Days of Awe

 

Rosh Hashanah Commenortes creation of the world and day of Judgement

 

Yom Kippur - day of Atonement

 

Tabernalces - Israel in the desert for 40 years - is this a shadow of the Jews being protected for 40? months during the Tribulation???

 

I see the above as being days of dryness, horror and Judgement at the beginning of all things new.
