I too, wish I could ask someone Jewish directly.  However, I did find a Jewish website, and  it shows this year on the Jewish calendar as 5771, which on our calendar is 2010.  Rosh Hashanah will occur on the following days of the Gregorian calendar:  Jewish year 5772 sunset Sept. 28, 2011 -   nightfall Sept. 30, 2011.  So according to this, they are still in the year 2010 until Sept. of this year.
