RE: Babs "John Clark & The One Kidney Club"
Blessing Babs!
Thank you so much for welcoming me to the "club." I may now
qualify as a "newbie" to your club, but you are a member of such a
greater stature.
Jhn 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his
friends.
By the grace of God and through significant guidance by the Holy Spirit,
I discovered that I had a tumor in my left kidney. Further
guidance "just happened" (sure) to immediately bring to me the name of
one of the top kidney surgeon's in the region (medical director of the
robotic surgical division in a major hospital's cancer center, in the
capital of my state - and he just happened to be a urologist). I
composed my own referral letter and faxed it to his office early Monday
morning. That afternoon I had a voicemail, and an appointment on
Wednesday. Seeing that this was not considered an emergency, all I
had to do is wait for the next opening on his surgical schedule. A
little over a month later on July 13, the surgeon removed a stage III
carcinoma from my body which was contained in my left kidney. That
made me free of the kidney, but also free of the cancer. I regret
that, that kidney is of no use to anyone. My mother spent the
last six months of her life, almost in torture, going through
dialysis. Donating a kidney, whether you be dead or alive, is
truly an act of love.
Babs, you are love. You are fulfilling the greatest commandment:
Jhn 15:12
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
I will be praying for you and your beloved, especially on your
anniversary of August 7. I will then celebrate on August 8, by
returning to work.
God bless you Babs.
Num 6:24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
Num 6:25 The
LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
Num 6:26 The
LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
Newbie, first class: John
