As you know, Glenn Beck is in Israel this week addressing the Knesset.

Barometer of truth ?
Glenn Beck mentions the Bible often, and the word "truth" continually. Now to me that raises a red flag . The Bible tells us that in the Last Days many would come as "christs" , claiming to have the truth and answers for global problems. 

Are these truly "angels ( messengers ) of light" ?
 2 Corinthians 11: 13--15  tells us to watch out.
Jesus cautions us in Matthew 24: 24, 25 that many will come as "christs " in the Last Days, and He says,
"Behold, I have told you before( hand )."
To me, that means that we are without excuse, if we remain naive. 

In history we are told to "beware of Greeks bearing gifts"... and that also includes bearing great tidings.
Truth may be the headliner, but what follows ? "Truth" can be used as a camouflage for another agenda. That would not be a first. 
It will all come out in the laundry.
 
We are to be Bereans ( Acts 17: 10, 11 ) and check messengers out.

The more that high profile figures in the news spout the Bible, the more cautious we should be. 
What concerns me the most is that Israel seems not to be wary.

God has wheat and tares ( weeds )  in every nation Matthew 13:24--30 . God judges the tares. Should Christians back a politically-correct Israel, or a spiritually-correct Israel ?
Yes, we should back Israel, but ONLY the Israel that is looking for Jesus as their Messiah ... not the Israel  that is looking for political messiahs.

In the meantime, both political and religious sides will cash in on as much money as possible over Israeli issues.

Glenn Beck secured the Davidson Center for his August 24th spectacular. There are 600 VIPs attending at $5,000 a piece for a ticket . Listening to encouragement for Israel doesn't cost that much at your local church.
One wonders if each VIP gave an equally significant amount of money to such recognized ministries as the Salvation Army, Samaritan's Purse etc. that are caring for the destitute of the world ? Priorities.
Political causes always gain the bonanza.

Mr. Beck will not only be visiting Israeli politics this week, but he will hold a rally in Jerusalem on August 24th
( rallying support for Israel over the political issue of Palestinian statehood ).
Yes, Israel should not be divided, but money does not determine the hand of God, should He allow History to expose the heart of man.

Mr. Beck will also attend the Pastor John Hagee CUFI ( Christians United for Israel ) summit July 18 - 20th.
The banquet alone is $100.00 apiece and GB is the keynote speaker.
The coffers will be full from both political and religious fountains.

Oh, now that Murdoch is taking a back seat as a media mogul, it appears that GB is taking a front seat. He has amassed quite a communication-empire.
