"Something Fishy about the 6th Seal"

Something Fishy About The 6th Seal

There is something unsettling about the 6th Seal that instead of announcing that the wrath of God has come, seems rather to be warning about a deception being perpetrated against the people of God—even against the very elect.

There is no doubt that massive earth changes are being described in Rev 6:12-17-- a great earthquake; the sun becoming black as sackcloth; the moon becoming like blood; the stars falling to earth; the heaven departing as a scroll; and every mountain and island being moved out of their places.  This is serious upheaval and disaster with doubtless great loss of life.

It is no secret any longer that the world’s governments have been preparing for something by building underground cities, deep underground military bases and stocking them with supplies and provisions for long term survival.  Christians especially, are expecting the elites to dive for cover in their caves and dens while the judgments of God are raining down, confident their plans will be foiled and they shall not escape.  But this scenario in Rev 6 is out of character, because no where else as Revelation unfolds are these people running, hiding and fearful of God.

In Rev 6:15, the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the chief captains, the mighty men, and every slave and free man are hiding themselves in their underground bunkers.  They make big, showy pronouncements to the mountains and rocks saying “Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb.”  Begging your pardon, but these are the same characters that the demonic frog spirits will round up and gather to the battle of Armageddon to fight against the Lamb.  These are the same ones who will blaspheme and curse God all throughout the trumpet and bowl judgments and will remain angry, refusing to repent of their works.  These will be the slain that the angel of Rev l9:18 calls for the fowls of heaven to feast upon:  kings, captains, mighty men, horses and them that sit on them, and all men, both free and bond, both small and great.  What are they doing using specifically Christian terminology like ‘him that sitteth on the throne’ and ‘the wrath of the Lamb’ back at the 6th Seal?

These guys aren’t afraid of God.  They aren’t afraid of His judgments or His wrath which will be pouring upon them.  They are defiant and cursing until their bitter end as they gather their weapons and gather themselves for their furious last stand against the descending Christ and His armies.  Notice how in the 6th Seal they are making loud declarations and big dramatic prayers to ‘rocks and mountains’.  Their backs are to the people and their knees are not bowed in fear and trembling before the face of God.  They are being obvious and melodramatic as they commune with rocks and dirt so we will notice them.  These kings and rich men are behaving just like the hypocrites in Mt 6:2-5, who sound trumpets before themselves and love to pray standing in the synagogues and at the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men and receive affirmation and positive head-bobbing from us.  (Is there no one wise among us?)

And why are the great men and the rich men announcing that ‘the Great Day of His Wrath is Come, and who shall be able to stand’?  Nowhere else in Revelation are human earth dwellers tasked with announcing God’s wrath.  That job is reserved for the 24 elders and the angels of heaven. It is angels who are announcing woes as they fly in the midst of heaven; it is other angels that come down and proclaim things; it is great voices and angels in heaven that make other declarations and announcements as well; but polititians on earth have no authorization for revealing the counsels of God at this end of the age.  The official announcement of God’s wrath comes at the 7th Trumpet in Rev 11:17-18, where the 24 elders say ‘thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and thy wrath has come, and the time of the dead, and thou shouldest destroy them who destroy the earth’.

And let it not slide passed us just who is making these astounding proclamations of how the workings and timetable of God are playing out on earth—it’s the kings and mighty men, the rich men and the great men. (Just identify a few of today’s billionaires and ask yourself if you feel comfortable deferring matters of Him that sits on the throne, the wrath of the Lamb, and the proper procession of seals, trumpets and vials to them instead of the body of Christ?) These are the scoundrels and servants of Antichrist who have provided for themselves at the expense of their people.  They are diving for cover in their well-stocked dens and DUMBS while mocking the rest of us as we try to stand up under what is befalling the earth at their hands.

Why are we listening to them?  Why are Christians ceding authority  to unbelievers and mockers to testify for the mind of Christ?  Why are we believing anything that these offspring of the ‘father of lies’ are saying?  Who are they trying to impress with their use of pointedly Christian terminology?  They are trying to impress and bamboozle Christians into believing the wrath of God has come at that particular place in time in the unfolding of endtime events.

If Lucifer can get Christendom to believe that the earth changes of the 6th Seal are God’s wrath, he is then free to carry out his diabolical deceptions, get Christians to believe God has abandoned them and thus fail to mount any spiritual resistance, rally non-believers into hating Christians and their God for the horrific events taking place on the earth and thereby gather to himself an even fatter harvest for the lake of fire. But thanks be to our Lord Jesus Christ who said, ‘Behold, I have foretold you all things.’

End Part I

(Some of you may still remember an article I wrote a year and a half or so ago called

‘The Underground Church’.  Since that time I became a daily Doves reader.  Thanks

for a great site!)
