Beverly,
RE: Your post yesterday in 5 Doves. Thank you for replying to
me. I was born and raised a Roman Catholic – I went to Mass every
morning throughout all of grade school. I went to an all boy
Catholic High School for 4 years. Even though I learned the basics
(Father, Son, Holy Spirit) I guess you could say that I was
“brainwashed” with everything else that was taught to me THAT WAS NOT
BIBLICAL. It was not until later in life that I read the Bible for
myself and came to my own conclusions. I am a stronger person
because of it.
I no longer go to any Church or attend any organized religious
events. (I do go to Mass on Christmas/Easter so as to make my wife
happy, but that is the only reason I go.)
My wife and I recite the Lord’s prayer every morning (I am currently
unemployed since being laid off 3/29/2011 and looking for full time work
at the age of 56 ! ! !). My wife has strong faith, but refuses to
listen to me talk about the Rapture/Tribulation/Last Days. We are
fortunate in that we have strong family connections and lots of good
friends – HOWEVER, even when I am in the midst of all of the family and
friends activities, my mind and my heart, a lot of times, is somewhere
else. I am looking up in the sky, waiting and hoping for our soon
Rapture/departure, or thinking about posts on Five Doves, or wondering
about what the Lord is going to have us do in His kingdom…………..
It completely baffles me, with everything that is going on in the world
today, that so many of us Christian raised people don’t seem to question
the outcome of all of this.
Maybe I think TOO MUCH about it - - - I don’t know - - - I would think
that the Lord will take home with Him a lot of Christians who have NO
IDEA or have never even heard of the term “Rapture”.
I so hope that we will be going home this year.
