I have always been bothered by the Tower of Babel story. It just doesn’t "read quite right" to me. That being the case, I decided to return to the original inerrant Hebrew pictographic language and take a look at the way that Moses originally wrote it. Now exegetically, this is a big "no no". Well, if one goes back to the original Mosaic work of pictographs and looks at it with "modern eyes" a whole new picture of this story emerges. What follows here is a partial interpretation (mine) of what it seems to say (to me).I am not saying that it is entirely correct as I am no biblical scholar, but well, I supply the links I used and you take a look for yourself. Please keep me straight on this as I do not want to mis-read God’s Holy words. At any rate, here is what I have discovered so far…..A Word Study of Genesis 11I want to take a look at Genesis 11 in light of a possible new understanding from the original Hebrew. Now, I am no Hebrew scholar, so keep that in mind as I try to piece this together. Sometimes I had to go back into how the first Hebraic pictographs were formed (parts of the whole) to "create" the "new" letters they were using and are using today. It seemed logical as how would someone explain DNA to people of that time period? One might use the "proper" language and then try to explain it (seed of life?) etc.Genesis 11:1And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.Hebrew (revised translation): And everyone on Earth was on the brink of (understanding) man and man’s message (DNA/word).Genesis 11:2And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.Hebrew (revised translation): And it came to pass as (time) removed them from (knowledge gained in) ancient times that they were able to split the foundation (DNA) of (that which) destroys the seed of life (zayin and vav = cut off the nail: God’s redemption through Christ!) to be as the "first" (To be like God) and bringing (them) again there (returning them to heaven).Genesis 11:3And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.Hebrew (revised translation): And they desired to be equal. (And they said) "Come on! Let us open and control the seed of life (The ability to choose to have faith in the redemption of man through Jesus), and destroy the people’s praise (of God) and destroy people’s humility (make them proud) and the indwelling of the holy spirit in them (completely separating man from God). And they opened and controlled the seed of life inside the strong house of praise (Man’s DNA?), and the doorway of life (to heaven through Christ) which is the revealed truth of God.My Note: Does this mean that "free will" and "choice" are "wired" into our DNA? And that is why the fallen angels want to tamper with it and remove this feature?Resources
