Hi Heather and all Doves, Heather your post today echoes the very same thoughts I’ve been having. I also did Christmas and Easter with my kids but made it very clear that Jesus was the focus of those holidays. And I also wonder why I don’t get revelations from God. I read and study and pray and try my best to be obedient in everything yet God never gives me rapture dates or speaks to me about the future. I’ve never spoken in tongues and I’ve never heard God’s voice.
And I never have prophetic dreams. ( I had 3 recurring dreams about the rapture in my life time, but that’s it) He puts thoughts into my mind or He causes things to happen that are direct answers to prayer so I know God and I are communicating but I’ve often wondered if something is terribly wrong with me. I’ve never been a deep thinker. I tend to take things at face value and not dig too deep.  There’s so many things about the Bible and especially the Jewish holidays that I don’t understand. The Bible is very clear that there are true prophets and there are many, many instances when God spoke directly to people and I believe He still does today. Maybe it is just certain people that He gives more insight to in order to fulfill His perfect plan. Hopefully some of you Doves will give us some guidance around this issue.
