"to Hurting"

Dear Sister,

I cried when I read your prayer request.  Dear soul don't you know that once we confess our sins to Our Lord He cleanses us instantly?  I feel the hurt and the pain you feel and although we all sin in different ways I do understand how hard we are on ourselves.  I am so sorry that you have to go through what you are going through and although it seems that you are alone let me tell you that you are not.  I don't know you, yet, I hurt so much for you.  Know that Jesus has already forgiven you and sin being sin we do feel the consequence of it.  In your case it is the remorse you feel.

Dear Father, we all fall short at one time or another, some more than others, but it doesn't matter, in God's eyes sin is sin, but the beauty of all of this is that your grace and love for us bring us to your feet in repentance daily.  What a gift you have given us.  I pray Lord that you would comfort your child tonight please, let her get some rest and cradle her in your loving, big hands.  Jesus you died just for that reason so that we would be forgiven of our downfalls.  Please Lord I pray that what our sister will find today is your love, and that she will realize how good you are to us.  I pray Father that no one would pass judgment on her but would reach out to embrace her Lord as she comes to your throne of grace to ask for forgiveness.  Lord I want to thank you for her, she has been broken and you have fixed her already, I pray that she sees that immediately Lord.  I pray for strength for her Lord so that she will not fall that way again.  Lord bring lots of love from her brothers and sisters in Jesus and let her know that her shortcomings are no better or worst than any of ours.  Please Lord restore her heart and let her rejoice in you lest her remembrance of her weakness shadows her blessings from You, Father.  Thank you Lord for what you do for us every day.

Sister, I will ask one thing of you and that is that you change your signature from "hurting" to "blessed of the Lord", rejoice once again friend because you are loved, most of all you are the apple of His eyes.

Lots of love to you sweet soul and thank you for being brave enough to confess to us all, it takes a big person to do that.  And don't forget, we love you but not as much as He does.

A psalm of David, King of Israel

When the prophet Nathan came to him after after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba:

Psalm 51

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your unfailing love; according to Your great compassion blot out my transgressions.
Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.
For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.
Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You are proved right when You speak and justified when You judge.
Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

Sure You desire truth in the inner parts; You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones You have crushed rejoice.
Hide not Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity.
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Do not cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will turn back to You.
Save me from bloodguilt, O God, the God who saves me, and my tongue will sing of Your righteousness.
O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise.

You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; You do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.
In Your good pleasure make Zion prosper; build up the walls of Jerusalem.
Then there will be righteous sacrifices, whole burnt offerings to delight You; then bulls will be offered on Your altar.

Sister, these are the words of a king in repentance for what he had done and from him came Our very Savior Jesus Christ Our Lord, take comfort in these words, he has forgiven you, now sing His praise!
