Please join with the Roanoke, VA group with The Burn 24/7 for fasting and prayer on this date. This is one of many places around the world where Christians will be fasting and praying up until the DC Call on 8-16-08. (8-8+8-08). The Roanoke fire group will be observing the time as 8am to 8pm Eastern time. On the 16 The DC Call will be using 10am to 10pm Eastern time.
 
8-16-08 is a Massive Fasting & Prayer date to change this Nation and others, to call Christians back to God in repentance. I believe as well that this day might see the downfall of Obama in the spirit realm with his defeat on November 8. Please, God, let it be so.

As an aside note, I encourage all Diabetics to fast, if you feel led to do so, by taking your food in liquid form only with the correct amount of carbs and protein. This will not harm you. You fast every night until you take your A1C test the next day and I might add, this is at your doctor's request. My own doctor told me he does not discourage fasting for Diabetics fasting for religious reasons.
 
Here is a great recipe for a liquid drink with all the ingredients Diabetics or anyone wishing to do more than water fasting will need. You will not be hungry and your blood sugar will not drop too low, if you watch your insulin intake. Anyone can use this but Diabetics must lower their doses of insulin if needed, because this really causes your meds to work better. The potassium content here also helps blood pressure. Again, lower your doses, if needed. The molasses nourishes the pancreas. For those who are not Diabetic, you should substitute real Maple Syrup.
 
Per 8 oz glass of pure water:
 
2 Tbs fresh lemon or lime juice (one half of one)
1 Tbs molasses
 
I disolve the molasses in a small amount of very warm water before adding to juice. You may drink up to 6 cups of this lemonade per day. Should you feel any hunger, drink more water. If you feel the need for more, (which I never have) drink a shake made with water not milk or have unsweetened applesauce.
