"To Georgia Kelly 18 July re: "opened a can of worms""

Hi Georgia,

Sorry, so sorry for the tardy response, but since opening “a can of worms” I sat back in ‘deep’ study and stayed off the internet. I thank you for your “I think you might have opened a can of worms” response and I’ll answer in (bracketed italics)

Georgia you stated, you made the statement to Lauren yesterday……..

You may “guarantee” a third day, return of Jesus, those five verses in John are now proof positive that I have been deceived, that there is no pre-tribulation rapture and that it is on the ‘last day’ that we live in his presence!

Georgia you said, “You know, with all the things we can take in the Bible as literal or symbolic, how do we know that the words “the last day” are not symbolic of something?” ( I believe the ‘last day’ is the last day, Yeshua speaking it ‘four’ times in John 6 and again in John 11 as wording paralleling Hosea 6:2 and ‘living in His presence” on Rosh Hashanah’s ‘last trumpet’ spoke volumes!)

You said, “I could be way off base, but I would need a little more scriptural evidence to help me turn from my believing in the words “Come up hither” as signifying the rapture before the tribulation.  I have read a lot of Lauren’s posts and she has some interesting stuff for sure……but I still believe that Lord will rapture his bride before the tribulation begins.” (I read all of Lauren’s posts and cross referenced the scriptures diligently I KNOW the rapture will be on Rosh Hashanah, that woman “fleeing into the wilderness” in Revelation 12:14 is us, the ‘house of Israel’ or gentiles in the nations who are ‘grafted into’ the house of Judah and I believe we who have the “testimony of Yeshua and are keeping the commandments” will be taken there.)

You said, “I’m guessing, Devorah, that you were never sold on a pre-tribulation rapture to begin with, and this is the reason you are now totally convinced.” (I wanted it to be true, but I felt there was an anti-Semitic element in that the Israel had to go through a tribulation and the church didn’t, Yeshua is from the tribe of Judah! By taking 2 Timothy 3:15 seriously, looking at the ‘wilderness’ scriptures and the understanding who and why Yeshua fulfilled the Torah, made the rapture all the more ‘unconvincing.)

You quoted, 2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Then said, “now, because God is a God of order and not confusion, His scriptures should not be confusing.  A pastor once told me that every Bible verse has one correct interpretation.  Every verse must be understood within its context, passage, chapter and book.  It is the responsibility of Bible teachers to research and understand the history involved, the meanings of the individual words, to know the correct manners, customs, colloquialisms of the people involved.” (I’ve learned that we are to “study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman that is not ashamed to rightly divide the word of truth” 2 Timothy 3:15, its NOT what my husband, Georgia Kelley, Lauren, my pastor, my mother or as Lauren says, what the prophecy gurus said or say, we are responsible for the truth and are told to shun “vain babblings)

You said, I think the most difficult thing we have to encounter as Christians, is rightly dividing the Word of Truth.  Even though the scriptures in the Bible should not be confusing, I still sometimes get confused.  But that’s okay.  It causes me to delve deeper into the Word of God which is what I need to do anyway. (My thought on the confusion is that we have relied on the “prophecy experts” and have done very little if any ‘serious’ dividing of God’s word, the light went on in John 6, those four “last day” verses have not been divided very well!)

You closed, I will continue to read the Five Doves and study each day.  If the Lord leads me to believe that there will be no pre-tribulation rapture, then I’ll follow where he leads.  (I would really have to be sure it was the Lord leading me and not something of a deceptive nature).  Right now, however, I’m watching and waiting eagerly for my bridegroom to come. God Bless, Georgia Kelly

Thank you for responding and caring, much love Devorah
