Oh, Peggy, I knew we had more in common than our BIRTHDAY.  I’ve long admired your strength of character.

One of my favorite passages is from Matthew 11:

28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

He will ease our burdens whether we are in church, at home, work or any place else in this flawed world as long as we seek Him.

P.S.  I also love to sing those same verses in the aria from Handel’s Messiah.  The Lord gifted me with an operatic soprano voice which I honed in boarding school and conservatories.  I can’t WAIT to sing with the cherubim and seraphim – when I’m not tending to His precious animals, that is, especially all the doggies who think they’re humans.
