"Sanctification"

It is good that Gabridon brought up sanctification. It is a much
neglected doctrine. We need to reconsider Hebrews 6:1-3. "Therefore leaving the
principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying
again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of
the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the
dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit".
Our Lord
has great blessings for those that are willing to follow Him closely. I have
noticed that He only leads us one step at a time and waits till we take that
step for the next one. If it takes twenty years for some one to make restitution
or for an unkind remark the Lord will just wait for us. But the lost years of
blessings not only to us but to those we might have helped. Usually it is just
plain pride that gets in the way, "what will people think if me"? I know that
people are hungry to hear this truth but then to act on it will be too much for
a lot of people, but some will follow through and receive the blessings of
obedience. Is there really no end of the heights that the Lord will take us if
we really follow Him? Of course the resistance of Satan is there too but so
WHAT? What rewards will people like Samuel, Enoc, Moses, Daniel and a whole list
mentioned in Hebrews 11. The Lord is not short on rewards but on followers.
We have some great people in the doves and I know of some of the battles
they have to fight and we may get to rejoice with us all
soon.
