Purim seems to be the time when the 1260 days of Revelation 11 ends.In Esther 9:18-19 it says, "But the Jews who were in Susa gathered on the thirteenth day and on the fourteenth and rested on the fifteenth day, making that a day of feasting and gladness. Therefore the Jews of the villages, who live in the open towns, hold the fourteenth day of the month of Adar as a day for gladness and feasting, a holiday on which they send gifts of food to one another."And again in Esther 9: 20-23, it says, "Mordecai recorded these things, and sent letters to all the Jews who were in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, both near and far, enjoining them that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month of Adar and also on the fifteenth day of the same month, year after year, as the days on which the Jews gained relief from their enemies, and as the month that had been turned for them from sorrow into gladness and from mourning into a holiday, that they should make them days of feasting and gladness, days for sending gifts of food to one another and presents to the poor. So the Jews adopted as a custom what they had begun to do, as Mordecai had written to them."In Revelation 11:9-10, it says, "For three and a half days members of the peoples and tribes and languages and nations will gaze at their dead bodies and refuse to let them be placed in a tomb: and the inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and celebrate and exchange presents, because these two prophets had been a torment to the inhabitants of the earth."Revelation 11:12b says, speaking of the two witnesses, "And they went up to heaven in a cloud while their enemies watched them."The people following Antichrist in Jerusalem will view the two witnesses as Haman and Amalek and view their deaths as a Purim victory over Haman. Recently, a Messianic believer in Israel was severely injured when he opened a Purim gift basket that was a bomb filled with pins and shrapnel.Paul said that the Day of the Lord will occur when they say Peace and Safety, or Peace and Security. Then sudden destruction will come on them like labor pains.In Esther 9:29-30, it says, "Queen Esther daughter of Abihail, along with the Jew Mordecai, gave full written authority, confirming this second letter about Purim. Letters were sent wishing peace and security to all the Jews, to the one hundred twenty-seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus..."Evidently, Antichrist will rule for 1260 days while the two witnesses are smiting the earth with plagues and they will be killed on or near Purim. They, the followers of antichrist will exchange presents during their Purim holiday when their enemies, the two witnesses were killed.Ben
