I'm with you, Jim. I have never felt led to stockpile survival things because we will be raptured and those who feel that they should stockpile, probably should because they are not looking for the promise of his coming. You are right on that Jesus told us not to take any thought for such things because God cares for us even more than birds and flowers whom He feeds and clothes every day. Our treasure is in heaven where our hearts are too.

I know that this issue has polarized many Christians to take strong positions and I see it as faith in God's promises vs fear that God can't come through. Exactly what the Israelites were faced with on their journey so long ago. In many cases, bad teachers and nay-sayers have caused believers to doubt the promises of God and Jesus Himself who promised to come back and get us and take us to Himself that where He is we will be also. LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED BELIEVE IN GOD BELIEVE ALSO IN ME... This again is just what happened in Israel when doubters stirred up the people to fear and unbelief. They can stockpile all the food they want to but as for me, I will believe like Joshua and Caleb - We are well able to GO UP...
