Jordan: Next few weeks crucial for Mideast peace

 

The next few weeks will be crucial if new efforts to resuscitate a Middle East peace process are to succeed, Jordan's King Abdullah said on Friday after talks in Ottawa with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

 

"The next couple of weeks and months are going to be critical to bring the Israelis and the Palestinians to launch the process forward and it cannot be done alone," King Abdullah said.  "Jordan and Canada and many other countries ... are working as part of a team to bring the Israelis and the Palestinians together," he told a news conference.
