"777 On "Super" Target..."

This weekend, I was amazed at the level of precision that God had orchestrated.

On 7/06/2007, I began to be aware that my odometer was going to roll over 100,000 miles either by the end of the day or on 7/7/07.  In fact as I got out of the movie theater that night with friends, I noticed that at 9:52pm, my odometer was at 99,952 miles.  It seemed like my steps were going to be ordered.  I had many thoughts of just driving until it changed over, but decided that I would not do anything but just drive where I had already planned to go.  It would change over when it changes over.

When I arrived home, my odometer had not turned over, but was at 99990 miles at 12:46am on 7/7/07.  See:

I did not know where I would be the following morning or where I would go.  My only thought was to go to Mardel’s, a Christian bookstore thinking that it would be approximately the right distance from my house.

But the following morning, I received a text message from a friend trying to coordinate a trip to the lake, and by the time I found that other plans I had had fallen through, I text messaged back finding that they were meeting at a nearby Target at 10:30am.

So I felt I should keep with my plan of going to Mardels, and then to Target.  I stopped along the way to get some breakfast.  As I arrived at Mardels, it was very clear that right there in the parking lot where I lost my children at that same time in the morning on 1/21/2005, my odometer was sitting at 99999 miles.

From where I came from on 1/21/2005 to where I was going, I could not have made it without God’s Grace ordering my steps.  Even having my engine replaced and other car repairs that kept me from driving my car all played a part.  So I left that place, and as I was pulling into the lot of where I was going, my odometer changed to 100000 miles.

So I took a picture, recognizing the hand of God keeping my path on target with His plan for my life.  Or should I say…. On Super Target on 7/7/07.

No matter what you are going through, remember that you are always where you need to be when you are trusting God.  He always directs your path.

 Blessings,
