"Deborah- Re: Jerusalem Palace"

We tend to overlook the fact that different versions of the Bible can be slightly differing or misleading in their meanings; especially NIV is notorious for leaving out very important facts or changing the meanings of the word.

·         New International Version of Daniel 9:25-27

25 "Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree [f] to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, [g] the ruler, comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26 After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing. [h] The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' [i] In the middle of the 'seven' [j] he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. [k] " [l]  NIV Version

·         New King James Version  Daniel 9:25-27

25Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.  26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.  27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.- New King James Version

·         King James Version Daniel 9:25-27

25 “ Know therefore and understand,
      That from the going forth of the command
      To restore and build Jerusalem
      Until
Messiah the Prince,
      There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
      The street[c] shall be built again, and the wall,[d]
      Even in troublesome times.
       26 “ And after the sixty-two weeks
      Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
      And
the people of the prince who is to come
      Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
      The end of it shall be with a flood,
      And till the end of the war desolations are determined.-
King James Version.

 When we read Daniel chapter 9:25-27, the NIV calls our Lord as Anointed One; one the other hand the KJV as well as the NKJV has given Him the title as Messiah the Prince.

  Similarly there is a discrepancy to the title given to the coming AC.  The NIV calls him as the  The people of the ruler, when in fact the KJV as well as the NKJV states it clearly that he would be the people of the princeAs a result,  we may be trying to pin the tag of AC on every Dick, Tom and Harry who shows up in Jerusalem to broker the peace, that would not come before the Rapture.  We have to look to some blue-blooded person, also with the Jewish ancestry to step into the shoes of AC.  Our Lord came from the Davidic line, and the Jews will not accept Blair or Solano, or other peace brokers, who are nothing but pawns in the bigger picture.  The Jewish people as a whole will not accept any gentile, who turns up and says that he is the Messiah, unless he proves that he is part- Jewish, as well as he is from the line of David.  He has to have blue-blood coursing through his veins with Jewish ancestry to prove it as well.  Further he has to have a Royal title even now, not a title given after he comes into the arena.  Hardly people will accept someone as king, just because he grabs the power, in that case he would be a Premier or President or something, but to have the title as the king, one has to be born with it!

Further in the book of Daniel we see, that

In Daniel 7:23 it states “After them another king will arise”

In Daniel 8:23 it states “a king of fierce countenance” (KJV), whereas the NIV just states “master of intrigue”

In Daniel 9:27 it states “ the people of the prince

In Daniel 11:36 it states “the wilful King

·         Again in Revelation 17 we see....

 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.  10And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.  11And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.  12And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.  13These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

These are actually kings, and most of the royal families that exist at present intermarry and they are related in one way or another, hence they would work towards the common goal. It is interesting to note that the one who makes the covenant would be a Prince first before he becomes a king.

·         Something of interest..... Repossession/Refurbishing?

The Hello magazine of 10th July ’07 states that the Queen needs a million pounds extra for refurbishing her castles which are in disarray.  Very interesting indeed, in light of the fact that Blair is turning his sight on the Jerusalem Palace, which was  “The house - built in 1931 - was once the home of Britain's high commissioner to Palestine. Today it serves as the UN's Middle East HQ.”

There is another instance, where in KJV  in the book of Ezekiel 39, it states, that only  1/6th would go back.  Whereas in the NIV this figure of 1/6 (“ and leave but the sixth part of thee”) is completely omitted.

Ezekiel 39 (KJV)

 1Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:  2And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:

Ezekiel 39 (NIV)

  1 "Son of man, prophesy against Gog and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of [a] Meshech and Tubal. 2 I will turn you around and drag you along. I will bring you from the far north and send you against the mountains of Israel. 3 Then I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand.
