Re: the post by James Norman  - I was raised Catholic - went to parochial school - the whole gamut. Never once - not ONCE during all that time (even as a teen) was I ever told that I could be saved and know for SURE that I was saved!  I was made to believe that I would be saved IF I went to the sacraments (communion, masses, confession, etc. ad nauseum) - and even then, I'd probably have to burn in purgatory a long time to be truly cleansed! Anyone here ever suffer a burn? Even a SMALL one?
 
Well, imagine burning for years and believing you have to do that to get to heaven! That totally NEGATES the blood of Jesus, folks! It makes a mockery of His blood. So, I can add to James' voice - I know some Catholics who claim that they are saved - I always say - well they are just not smart enough to come out of that system! God brought me out of that system and saved me gloriously!  Now, even the reformation leaders believed that Chapter 17 in Revelations referred to the Roman Catholic system. My whole point is this - Jesus has a church - it is a spotless bride. The Anti-Christ has a church - it is headed up by a Leopard (a CAT!  A cat-holic) with MANY spots! You are told to COME OUT OF HER if you belong to that church. Open your eyes! Ever notice that the cross that the pope hauls around always has a dead Jesus on it?  Every Sunday, they re-crucify him in the spectacle of the "mass" - Jesus said that he died ONCE!  Well, if you are Catholic, you must believe every Sunday when you take their communion, you are consuming the dead body and blood of Jesus over and over and over again....
 
I participated in many May ceremonies as a child - May is the month devoted to Mary --- where we had a huge statue of "Mary" in a little grotto behind our parochial school.  We would form a "rosary" in a circle - each child was a "bead" in the rosary and we would each say a prayer when our turn came - even though Jesus taught that we should NOT say REPETITIOUS prayers like the heathen do - what is the rosary? It is a repetitious set of useless prayers! One child would be selected to put a garland of flowers on the head of this huge "Mary" statue (it was so large a ladder had to be provided so the kid could reach "Mary's" head). If this wasn't IDOLATRY - what pray tell is? Yes, the Catholics will argue with you in circles that they don't "worship" Mary - they just venerate her. Well praying to someone, kneeling before them and kissing the toes of a statue (which we all did) is WORSHIP!  It is BAAL worship and the Old Testament gives a lot of information on this false "Queen of Heaven" that the Catholics worship. This last pope isn't just an Anti-Christ and false prophet - EVERY single POPE before him has been too, regardless of all the peace and love they preached!  They murdered millions during the Inquisition and make no mistake about it - according to the Book of Revelations - another "Inquisition" is coming!
