My brother called me just a while ago to let me know what his wife told him while speaking just recently to her long time college friend, the mother of Greg.
Greg had the massived heart attack and upon examination while at first in the hospital a specialist had found brain damage and planned to call the family together. He wanted to tell them that the examinations showed that it would be best to 'pull the plug'. It was that hopeless in their opinion.
A day or so passed and he was reexamined to verify the earlier findings. This same doctor said that he was shocked and surprised that everything was normal He said that he had no explanation for the change, but it must have been a miracle.
I explained before that he was in the hospital a week or so and had a couple of sessions of physical therapy and speech therapy. They were discontinued after two treatments, as they determined they weren't necessary. As he left the hospital for home the nurses and doctors said to him "Good bye Lazarus".
My brother had repeated this above story with another that he heard mentioned to my sister-in-law by Greg's mother. He said while his mother was viewing her son in the hospital, just after they brought him in, a little ten year old girl, one of the family was there also. When she saw how concerned and in deep grief Greg's mother
was, she told her, "Don't worry, God is going to make him well". The girl sent her a note in the mail later expressing her same feelings. We wish to express our sincere thanks again for all the prayers that went out for Greg.
Greg is now on vacation and feeling perfectly normal. He will be going back to his teaching job as soon as school reopens.
I've been calling the hospital where the other Greg is in, as recommended to us by Jim Bramlett. I thought this was an excellent idea being used to pray for Greg in his condition.
He was still at that hospital this morning on July 30th. Lets keep praying for this Greg so that there will also be a happy ending for him and his family.
Yours in Christ,
Paul
