"As I Lay On My Death Bed..."

You know, it's the oddest thing. The morning of my near fatal auto accident of June 6, 2007, before I left for work, the idea for this poem just "popped" into my head by the Spirit. I didn't have any idea why at the time, but began writing it anyway. I thought perhaps it was to give comfort to someone who had lost a loved one to death, but in the same token, I could have easily been killed in the accident, and didn't merely because as Father Yahweh states, "I will show compassion on whom I will show compassion, and I will show mercy on whom I will show mercy." (Romans 9:15) May it give comfort to those who need it, and joy and strength to those who may be going through it. There IS better on the "other side" if you are His child!
