In Daniel we read,
"Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city..." (Dan.9:24)
We have understood before now that the seventy weeks are 490 years. (70x7). We have understood that these years have been split into 7 weeks (49 years), 62 weeks (434 years) and 1 week (7 years).
This is what I believe the Lord is showing me.
We read,
"Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the COMMAND to restore and build Jerusalem UNTIL Messiah the Prince, there shall be SEVEN WEEKS and SIXTY-TWO WEEKS; The street shall be built again and the wall, even in troublesome times." (Dan.9:25)
Now a bit of background. Daniel and the whole of Israel are in captivity in Babylon. Jerusalem had been destroyed and Daniel wanted to know when it would be built again. The Lord, as always, gave him more information than he requested. The Lord revealed to him the rebuilding of the City in relation to the TWO COMINGS of the Messiah the Prince.
The command to build Jerusalem was NOT issued by man but by the Lord Himself from heaven. Also there would be TWO COMMANDS ISSUED. THE SECOND COMMAND PRECEDED THE SEVEN WEEKS AND THE FIRST COMMAND PRECEDED THE SIXTY-TWO WEEKS.
Also the years of the Messiah run from one Feast of Tabernacles to the next years Feast of Tabernacles. That is, the Day of the Sacred Assembly (the 8th day) would mark the end of one year and the beginning of the next.
We can now understand why we read,
"And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up FROM YEAR to YEAR to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to KEEP, the Feast of Tabernacles." (Zech.14:16)
As I said above the commands to build Jerusalem were issued by the Lord Himself from Heaven.
"You are my King, O God; COMMAND VICTORIES for Jacob." (Psalm 44:4)
These commands, I believe, were also issued ON THE DAY OF THE SACRED ASSEMBLY, THE 8th DAY FOLLOWING the 7th Feast of Tabernacles. Of this day we read
"On the Last Day, that GREAT DAY of the Feast, Jesus stood and CRIED OUT..."
Before the Lord could come the 1st time Jerusalem would have to be rebuilt. 434 years (62 weeks) before the Messiah was born the Lord issued the command from the Highest heavens. Within 434 years Jerusalem was a habitable City again. the Messiah was born in the 435th year, that is in 1 AD.
In 33 AD The Messiah is rejected by the Jewish leaders. THEY CUT HIM OFF FROM THEMSELVES, BRINGING ABOUT THE DESTRUCTION OF THE CITY AND THE TEMPLE.
For we read,
"And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people (Romans) of the prince (antichrist) who is to come shall destroy the City and Sanctuary." (Dan.9:26)
As I said in my previous post the 1st Jubilee was in 57 AD. In 70 AD Jerusalem was destroyed. and the Jewish People were scattered to all Nations.
The Messiah is however to COME AGAIN, HENCE THE NEED TO ISSUE A SECOND COMMAND TO BUILD JERUSALEM.
I believe the Lord did this on the 17th October 1957. This was the GREAT DAY of the Seventh Feast of Tabernacles, that took place in the 39th Jubilee year. That day also marked the BEGINNING OF THE SEVEN WEEKS (49 YEARS) REVEALED TO DANIEL.
Ten years into this cycle, in June 1967, Jerusalem was once again in Jewish hands
DANIELS SEVEN WEEKS ENDED LAST YEAR ON 14 OCTOBER 2006.WE, I BELIEVE, ARE NOW IN THE YEAR OF THE MESSIAH THE PRINCE. IT IS THE 40TH JUBILEE YEAR.
IF I UNDERSTAND CORRECTLY, THE LORD WILL COME FOR HIS CHURCH ON THE 4TH OF OCTOBER 2007
The 4th of October, from sunrise at 5:35 AM (Jerusalem Time) is the Great Day of the Sacred Assembly. It follows after the evening of the Seventh Feast of Tabernacles.
If I am correct that day would mark the beginning of the final week (7 years) revealed to Daniel.
Also the two witnesses of the Lord would appear in Jerusalem and start there prophetic ministry for 1260 days, as revealed in scripture. I believe these two Prophets to be Moses and Elijah. They will represent the Law and the Prophets until the church grows on earth again.
We see these two Prophets appear in Glory with Jesus on the Mount. before He went to be crucified in Jerusalem. Maybe they also were looking ahead to the time they would be killed by the antichrist.
"And behold, two men talked with Him, who were Moses and Elijah, who appeared in glory and spoke of His decease which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem." (Luke 9:30)
If they start there ministry on the 4th of October 2007, there ministry would end 1260 days later on the 17th of March 2011. They will be killed by the antichrist and after 3 1/2 days they will be raised up into heaven as the scriptures reveal (Rev.11:11,12)
The antichrist will begin his 42 month reign in earnest on the 5th of May 2011. He will be destroyed by the Glory of Christ Coming on the 16th October 2014, which is the Great Day of the Sacred Assembly.
This is how I see thing unfold. I could be right or I could be wrong. We really don't have long to find out.
