The new prez of France is Sarkozy, not Sarkovsky.  A natural mistake,
since he is part Russian and part Hungarian on his father's side.
Sarkozy would be a Hungarian name and Sarkovsky a Russian name.

His mother was a French Jewess, but he was raised Catholic.  HIs father
abandoned  him and two brothers when they were small, and he felt
tense, according to Wiki, about living in an arrondisement where others
had much more money than his mother and her three sons.  He learned to
be tough.

He has been married more than once but he is presently remarried to his
last wife.

He has supported the gov't giving monetary aid to religious
institutions, including Islamic ones, to prop up society.
