Dear Doves

Please pray for my son, Gene, who has been battling depression for many years, but especially after the dead of his father in 2000. Due to a set of both business and personal circumstances, which came to a head yesterday, his depression took a nose dive and he is contemplating suicide.

Gene accepted the Lord 25 year ago in high school but now feels that the Lord couldn't possibly accept anyone "as worthless as he is." He feels he can't change his attitude. He hates himself, his life, and his business. He refuses to get any help.

His born-again wife is very concerned because his previous rantings have given way, yesterday, to a very calm approach to "taking care of loose ends". He says his only concern is the impact "it" would have on his children. Neither she, nor I, nor his brother know how to help him.

We need the intersession of all "prayer warriors" immediately.  Please pray for him.
