Dear friends:

This is an unusual prayer request.  Only God could have orchestrated it.

This came with a personal note from the newsletter of a devoted
missionary friend, Clara Nell, the widow of a pastor.  She has been
in ministry for many years, in recent years an intercessory ministry
with Campus Crusade for Christ International.  You would love Clara
Nell, a special, dear and humble saint.

She was on a recent flight and was seated next to a young man who was
studying a manual on the U.S. Army's Special Forces.  After learning
that he was in the National Guard, she expressed her gratitude to him
for his efforts to keep our country safe.  His name was Chris.

Clara Nell then asked Chris, "How can I pray for you?"

She said a smile came across his face as he stated, "Please pray for
my buddy, who is seated behind us, and for me, to be safe and to be a
good witness to our fellow soldiers."

She ended by saying, "After further discussion, it was apparent they
loved the Lord and wanted to serve Him in positive ways.  Please pray
for Chris and his buddy in these two areas."

Isn't God amazing?  Chris would never dream that his simple request
to the quiet lady seated next to him would find its way around the
world and that he and his buddy would be prayed for by so many people
in so many places!

Let us join Clara Nell and prayer for Chris and his buddy.  God must
have great plans for them to have marshalled so much prayer on their
behalf!  Praise His name.

When we get to glory, let's all get together with Clara Nell, Chris,
and his buddy, and review what happened with this one!  That will be fun.
