I celebrated my 59th birthday today with several gallons of icecream ,
vanella nut and rainbow sherbert.... shared among my 2nd step home Sunday afternoon Bible class.....

 Sister Kathy has been operating a homeless ministry out of her home  4 years until the City of Chula Vista closed her down last month

3 months ago in another local city a local businessman gave our church 2 houses for our 2nd step home homeless ministry  worth $1,300,000 for $300,000 ... well, a Christian homeless organization gave the church $120,000 and several church members gave $20,000 to $75,000 each and paid off the $300,000 mortgage !!!  half the occupants are straight from prison.  one men's and one women's and children's house.

so the 2 houses are free and clear !!!! the occupants pay rent of course, about $100 a week each as they get their ID cards or licenses and get Jobs....

The 3rd step is for several church families to rent out a spare bedroom to our graduates for 4 months to help them when they leave the home after being there 6 months or so.....

You remember the story of George Muller's  English orphanage where every day enough food would show up on the door step ??
that's happening here.... the local merchants, especially KFC,  and the church people are so wonderful....
Isn't GOD amazing???
