"For Peggy : Psalm 34 : 7"

Dear Peggy,

We are most certainly keeping you in our prayers for safe driving during those rain deluges you are having there in Texas ( as bad as England). Here in California our situation is the same in that whenever the weather becomes hazardous with rain, motorists do not slow down, but continue to drive as if there were normal conditions.

It seems that the only way to avoid accidents is for everyone to slow down ( way more than usual ) and to drive defensively -- anticipating a situation before it occurs.

We can remember way back in the 60's that the Driver's Manual for taking a driving exam stated that cars must be 6 car-lengths away from the vehicle ahead of them while on the freeways. Well needless to say, that is no longer the case any more.

And in the 70's when there was gas-rationing, the law stated that no one could drive faster than 55 miles an hour on the freeways. Well today the average speed on the freeways is between 70- 80 miles per hour. It has become like the autobahn of Germany.

Needless to say,  the only thing one can do is to take it slow and easy when traveling to and from work, and we are backing you up with prayers for guardian-angel protection.

" The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear Him , and delivereth them."  Psalm 34:7
May you always travel in peace.

Our love and prayers,
Jim and Angela
