Dear Marie,We are praying for Gene that the Lord will bind all spiritual wickedness in high places that are coming against him and for your son to be covered under the blood of Jesus Christ.
Depression is a hard battle. If medications cause it, the medications may have to change. Sometimes getting active and real busy gets a person out of themselves and into helping other people.
Jan Crouch on TBN has a wonderful testimony about her time of depression and how it almost paralyzed her from any activity.
But those around her finally got her to go to church where there was a young person in dire need of help. Jan went over and spoke to the young person and as Jan ministered to another person, her own depression lifted. As family members sit by and watch a person in depression, there is such a feeling of helplessness. And it is true: We cannot do for others what they must do for themselves. "Casting down imaginations ...and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ'.
May the prayers to God from all of us cause Gene to reach out for help, and may you have that peace that passes all understanding, regardless.
Our love and prayers are with you,
Jim and Angela
