This week we have been told we are not Christians if we are not in the Roman Catholic Church.  Essentially we have been accused of apostasy.
 
Christians are being characterized as homophobic, Islamophobic, and now Hinduphobic.
 
We are considered rude if we stand up for biblical principles and our beliefs.
 
We are being told not to share our faith on the job, at school or in public places.  Gideons cannot stand on the street and hand out Bibles to people who want them.
 
We are being characterized as rabble rousers, rude and inconsiderate if we do not embrace every new manifestation of evil that comes along.
 
We have been told we are trying to dominate our nation and turn it into a theocracy instead of a democracy.
 
Public Christian prayers are no longer tolerated at sporting events, memorial services, military services led by chaplains, in school, at graduation, on street corners, in parks and other public places.
 
However, the Muslims can chant their calls to prayer over loudspeakers in our cities.  The Hindu can chant their mantras in our halls of congress.
 
The homosexual and bisexuals can pollute the minds of our children in school.  Victoria's Secret catalogs are sent through the mail - no brown paper wrapper - and would have been considered pornographic 15 years ago.
 
Watch TV and see ads for medications for erectile dysfunction, early pregnancy tests, medication for genital herpes, etc.
 
Prostitutes ply their trade in our states within sight of the state capital buildings and in the halls of congress.
 
Drug abuse is rampant - prescription and illegal.  And now we have designer drugs.  Our citizens are addicted to alcohol, gambling and video games.
 
We have a senator who is guilty of murder, several who are guilty of gross misconduct, and some being investigated for felonies.  The House is probably in the same shape.
 
We abort millions of babies each year.  We have lost count of the number of children sexually abused by caregivers, parents and older siblings.  We do not know how many missing children have been sold into sexual slavery or have been murdered and their bodies dumped in a ditch or shallow grave.
 
Our church attendance is down.  It was up immediately after 9/11 but our attention spans have been shortened by our addiction to television.
 
We need to fall on our knees and pray to be spared God's Judgment.  We need to humble ourselves, pray, seek God's face, and turn from our wicked ways.  2 Chronicles 7:14
 
We, Christians, have allowed this to happen in our land.  It happened on my watch and on yours.  We fell asleep!!  God is going to hold us accountable.  We allowed sin to creep in and now we are being bulldozed.  Remember in the Garden of Eden.  Eve was tempted by Satan.  He was beautiful and glib of tongue.  He enticed her.  That is the way of sin.
 
We have been enticed by materialism, keeping up with the Joneses, getting something for nothing, entertainment, political correctness.  We have to look in our own lives.  Revival is not going to begin in our nation until it begins in me.  Until it begins in each one of us.
 
Lift up your heads, your Redeemer draws nigh.  Now is the time for repentance.  Now is the time for prayer for forgiveness.  Now is the time for rededication.  Now is the time for resanctification.  Now is the time for intercession.
 
Pray, Christians, pray.  Enter your closets and pray in secret.  Pray in your worship services and Bible study.  Pray with your family, with your children and your parents.  Now is the time for worship of the Most High God.  It is past time!  Time is short!  Pray!!!
