July 28, 2007After seeing the relationship between Comets Hale-Bopp and McNaught, some wondered about the significance of Comet Shoemaker-Levy, for it arrived at the surface of Jupiter on Av 9--a significant date in the Bible and history. The 21 fragments also tied into this mourning theme since Tammuz 17 to Av 9 is considered the three weeks of mourning (3 x 7). The only thing that seemed to work was that if one counted Av 9, 1994 as one, then the 21st occurrence would be Av 9, 2014--a day that seemed to be the day that kicked off the 2300 evenings and mornings of Daniel 8. Av 9, 2014 is also the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War I.Then an article by Calvin Montgomery (http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/july2007/calvinm721-1.htm )pointed out that 280 x 17 days equaled 13 years and 13 days, which when applied to Comet Shoemaker-Levy's hit on Av 9 (July 16, 1994) came to July 28, 2007 (the day I am writing this). The birthing cycle is 280 days and the number 17 means victory. This was striking since I had just posted that day that 280 days from November 8, 2006 was Elul 1 (August 15, 2007) (http://jesus2006.org/signsoftheend/430.html). The number of 280 x 17 is 4,760 days and I wondered where 4,800 days might be since it was 40 days more. This seemed significant since 4,800 would equal 120 x 40--both numbers of significance throughout this research.Counting 4,800 days from July 16, 2004 came to September 6, 2007. Since the collision came late on July 16, it was actually Av 9 since the Hebrew day begins at evening. This would then bring it to September 7, 2007--one week before the Feast of Trumpets. This may be significant since Noah was warned one week before the Flood. However, the collisions ended on July 22, 1994 (Av 14), which would then bring 4,800 days between the collisions and the observance of Rosh Hashanah 2007. Either way the count seems significant, keeping in mind the use of 120 with Hale-Bopp and McNaught.In review, Comet Hale-Bopp was determined to have come 120 years before Noah's Flood or 120 trips around the sun. Hale-Bopp's appearance in 1997 to Comet McNaught's appearance in 2007 was 120 lunar months apart (120 trips of the moon). From Comet McNaught it is 240 days until Rosh Hashanah 2007 with the anniversary day of Jesus' ascension in the middle, making it 120 days on either side. Remember Jesus ascended on day 40 from Resurrection Sunday (see the use of 120 and 40? and remember that Jupiter is known as the planet of the Messiah). And now 120 x 40 days from Comet Shomaker-Levy in 1994 comes to Rosh Hashanah 2007 or a week before depending on the start time of the count, whether it begins on the first collision or the last.The "Three Witnesses" seem to bear out the importance of Rosh Hashanah 2007, as do other things that seem to put the pieces together. Is the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) 2007 the day? It is at least a day to take seriously in watchfulness. To not do so would be folly.In Christ,Daniel Matson
