Lincoln Wheat Head Cent

The Lincoln cent was issued in 1909 to mark the 100th anniversary of Lincoln 's birth. It was the first cent denomination to have the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST". This Lincoln cent, with the two heads of wheat grains on the reverse, was minted for 50 inclusive years: 1909 to 1958.

Place a circle around a triangle with sides that measure 1958 and the length of each arc opposite the triangle sides is 2368. This is the Greek gematria of ‘JESUS CHRIST’. Bush completes 2368 days in office on 7/16/2007 . Please, see my post with the chart showing the arcs of 2368, 888 ('Jesus'), 1480 ('Christ') and 1776: http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/july2007/bobware72.htm

1958 is the sum of the three values for the center of the ‘Prime List’ (43 + 153 + 881) + a second 881. George Walker Bush is the 43rd President.

7/16/2007 is the center day of the current Islamic year 1428. It is the 178th day of 1428. The sum of the center 11 days (173rd to 183rd) equals 1958. These 11 days span the dates: 7/11/2007 to 7/21/2007 . 7/11 was the anniversary of both my father's and his firstborn son’s deaths on 7/11/1990 and 7/11/2006 . My family purchased our current home site with two houses in 1958. 1958 is the last year for the Lincoln penny to have two heads of wheat grains on the reverse side. The summer wheat harvest is in progress.

A quote from a brother in the Lord: “All inheritances are reclaimed by law in the Jubilee year, when all remaining debts are cancelled by grace. Every 7x7 or 49 years, so 1909 + 49 = 1958 + 49 = 2007! Redemption 2007-2008!” His wife's birthday is 7/16/2007.

Information on the Lincoln Cent from wikipedia.com...

In addition to the prescribed elements on U.S. coins -- LIBERTY and the date -- the motto In God We Trust appeared for the first time on a coin of this denomination. Of interest also is the fact that the United States Congress passed the Act of March 3, 1865, authorizing the use of this motto on U.S. coins, during Lincoln 's tenure in office.

Even though no legislation was required for the new design, approval of the Secretary of the Treasury was necessary to make the change. Franklin MacVeagh gave his approval on July 14, 1909, and not quite three weeks later, on August 2, the new coin was released to the public.

Upcoming changes to the Lincoln cent

The Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005 requires that the cent's reverse be redesigned in 2009. This will result in the mintage of four different coins showing scenes from Abraham Lincoln's life in honor of the bicentennial of his birth.

These four scenes include:

birth and early childhood in Kentucky

formative years in Indiana

professional life in Illinois, and

presidency, in Washington, D.C.

The 2009 cents will have the metallic copper content of cents minted in 1909.

After 2009, yet another redesigned reverse for the Lincoln cent is supposed to be minted; this "shall bear an image emblematic of President Lincoln's preservation of the United States of America as a single and united country," and so will replace the Lincoln Memorial reverse. However, it could be argued that the Lincoln Memorial itself meets the requirements of the Act through its design elements (mainly the 36 columns representing the states at his death and the names of all 48 states when it was constructed), so it is theoretically possible that the Lincoln Memorial reverse could return, if pennies continue to be minted.

Interesting that the Lincoln Memorial has 36 columns representing the 36 states at his death since the 36th triangle number is 666.
