TIMES AND SEASONS
I was thinking about that great article “Summer Fruits”, and it cam to me, how we as the church (the wild olive) were grafted onto the cultivated olive tree. Notice in Daniel 9: 24-27, God states that there would be a total of 70 weeks of years (490years), 483 of those years are in the times prior to and after Jesus till the destruction of the Temple. Then jumps forward to the tribulation. In between the 483 years in the past and the 7 years to come is the Church age grafted in between the years when God deals with the nation of Israel.
Daniel 9: 24-27
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
When I looked at the four seasons, spring, summer, fall, and winter, the Lord brought to my attention that they could represent parts of His redemptive plan. The spring representative of the 483 years in the past (prior to Jesus and till the destruction of the Temple), the summer as the church age (which is grafted in), the fall as the week to come the Tribulation (when God deals with Israel again), and the winter as the Millennial Kingdom (Sabbath Rest).
The spring as the feasts fulfilled by Jesus, the summer as the church age (and perhaps its harvest??), the fall as the feasts to be fulfilled by Jesus, and winter when in nature things rest (the Millennial Kingdom, the Great Sabbath).
So just maybe we should not look for a feast day in order for the Rapture to come (at a time that ye think not), after all we were just Grafted in.
