Relatives of Kidnapped Soldiers Meet with Solana

(IsraelNN.com) Relatives of three soldiers kidnapped by Hamas and Hizbullah terrorists met with European Union (EU) minister Javier Solana Thursday morning and later spoke with Red Cross officials. The visitor expressed sympathy but did not indicate what they would be able to accomplish to return the soldiers, said Shalom Goldwasser, relative of Ehud Goldwasser.

He added that each of the families showed Solana a picture of the soldiers and gave him a letter for the kidnapped victims stating, "We love you very much and hope you come back soon."

Goldwasser said a reply via the Red Cross would be a sign that they still are alive.
